Winthrop DSU Up for Campus Program Board of the Year

 DSU has won the award four times and been nominated more than 10 times.

ROCK HILL, S.C. — Winthrop University’s DiGiorgio Student Union (DSU) needs your vote to win Campus Activities Magazines’ Campus Program Board of the Year for the fifth time.

DSU faces campus programming boards from Augustana College, the University of Akron, Eastern New Mexico University and the College of William & Mary. People can vote for Winthrop through Saturday, March 1, on the magazine’s website.

DSU has won the prominent award four times and has been nominated more than 10 times.

Under the leadership of Boyd Jones and Deborah Strahorn, DSU has brought quality artists, musicians and performers to campus for students and the community to enjoy.  In the 2013-14 season, the organization welcomed to campus BET/MTV-famed comedian James Davis, Drums of Polynesia, the Atlanta Drumline and the Lonely Biscuits, among many others.
