ROCK HILL, S.C. — The Nov. 22-24 Senior Choreography Showcase will feature seven pieces that highlight the tap, jazz and contemporary modern styles of dance.

Winthrop University’s Department of Theatre and Dance’s fall 2013 showcase includes pieces choreographed by students Shelby Scott (Rock Hill, S.C.); Shelby Mosher (Baton Rouge, La.); Nia Harris (Columbia, S.C.); Lustra Miller (Spartanburg, S.C.); Nikesha Nelson (Columbia, S.C.); Mackenzie Elder (Lyman, S.C.); and Amanda Floyd (Lugoff, S.C.)

Other aspects of the show, including lighting, music, technical design and costume design, are also student-produced.

The director for the show is Assistant Professor of Dance Valerie Ifill, who joined Winthrop in her current role after serving two years as an adjunct faculty member. She said the students have worked extremely hard on this upcoming showcase.

The Senior Choreography Showcase performances run Nov. 22-23 at 8 p.m. and Nov. 23-24 at 2 p.m. in Johnson Theatre. Tickets are $8 with Winthrop I.D. and $15 for the general public.
