Economics Faculty Member To Teach in Kosovo as Fulbright Scholar
She will teach economics to undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Pristina, located in the southeastern European country's capital city of Pristina.

is America’s most widely recognized and prestigious international exchange program. It annually sends more than 800 faculty and professionals overseas and operates in more than 155 countries worldwide. The program is sponsored by the
U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs

Council for International Exchange of Scholars
Originally from Athens, Ga., Ullrich earned a bachelor's degree in economics from the
University of Georgia
and a master's degree and Ph.D. in economics from the
University of Tennessee
. Prior to graduate school she worked as a business consultant for
Ernst & Young
, specializing in executive compensation determination.
Ullrich joined Winthrop’s
Department of Accounting, Finance and Economics
in 2007 and immediately began to contribute to the campus and the community. She has helped revive the Economics Club, introduced new courses, given policy presentations to regional groups and worked on the recent revision to the M.B.A. curriculum.
Lincoln Institute of Land Policy
in Cambridge, Mass., selected Ullrich in 2010 as one of America’s promising state and local tax economists to participate in its new Junior Scholar Program. She received the
Wachovia Excellence in Teaching Award
in 2008-09, and was selected as the university’s
Outstanding Junior Professor
Locally, Ullrich has conducted a study on the impact of completing Dave Lyle Boulevard between York and Lancaster counties, and has researched school finance reform, local and state level tax and expenditure analyses, welfare policy and environmental economics.
