Art of Thinking Exhibit Bonds Winthrop, High School Students

ROCK HILL, S.C. — Winthrop University alumni and students alike will show off their artistic skills in an upcoming exhibition with the South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities.

“The Art of Thinking” opens Aug. 12 and will run through Sept. 13 in the Lipscomb Family Foundation Gallery at the governor’s school. An artist presentation is scheduled for Sept. 4 at 4:30 p.m. at the foundation gallery. 

“Part of the Department of Fine Arts Education Initiative: Critical Thinking, Technology and Innovation, the exhibition provides current students and recent grads the opportunity to demonstrate and discuss their hand, eye and conceptual skills to a talented high school audience,” said Fine Arts Chair Tom Stanley.
