Minor in Community-Based Learning
The Community-based Learning Minor is designed for students exploring learning theory
or educational settings in a way that complements a degree program. This minor does not lead to teacher certification/ licensure. The Community-based Learning Minor consists of at least 15 credits that must include
EDCO 101 and EDCO 200, 6 credits of approved coursework above 299, and electives selected
from the list of approved coursework. At least two designators* beyond EDCO must be
included in the electives. Electives included will support individuals exploring
learning in non-traditional informal and formal settings and allow exploration of
issues around schooling, families, and human development.
