All Business Administration programs are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB-International), the premier accrediting agency for business school programs. AACSB-International accreditation assures quality and promotes excellence and continuous improvement.

The professional business minor prepares a student to enter many graduate business programs (including the Winthrop MBA program) upon undergraduate degree completion. A Winthrop undergraduate student who selects this minor will be able to complete the Winthrop MBA Program in four semesters (including summers).
The professional business minor consists of 21 - 24 hours as follows:
Computer proficiency is required. A minimum grade of C- is required in each course.
The Finance and Human Resource Management concentrations have opportunities for students
to complete an undergraduate and graduate degree in five years with a total of 150
hours: 120 undergraduate hours and 36 graduate where the programs would share six
500-level hours. The combined program includes increased rigor, when compared to the
undergraduate program, while allowing certain classes to overlap between the B.S.
and M.B.A.
Students must complete an Intent to Pursue a Combined Program form prior taking any of the 500-level courses for graduate credit as an undergraduate
student; must have a 3.0 undergraduate GPA at the time of completion of the Intent to Pursue a Combined Program form and prior to taking each of the 500-level courses for graduate credit; and are
limited to a maximum load of 16 credit hours when taking the 500-level courses for
graduate credit.
Graduate students can pursue a general MBA degree, or select a concentration.
