Eligibility Requirements:
Employed with the Winthrop University for at least 12 months.
Have worked at least 1,250 hours during the 12-month period preceding request for FMLA leave.
Employee Procedure for Own Illness or to Care for a Family Member:
Request FMLA by contacting the Human Resources office at 803/323 -2273 or HRhelp@winthrop.edu.
The required FMLA documents wll be sent to you within 5 days of your request. You will have 15 days to return the certification of Health Care Provider for approval.
Completed FMLA documents can be e-mailed to HRhelp@winthrop.edu or delivered to the Human Resources office in 303 Tillman Hall.
