The South Carolina Illegal Immigration Reform Act mandates that Winthrop University participate in the E-Verify program to verify employment eligibility of all newly hired employees.  I-9/E-Verify Coordinators have been designated in various campus locations in order to satisfy this requirement.

Federal law mandates that an I-9 form be completed for all newly hired employees in addition to the E-Verify requirement.

Anyone at Winthrop University who is involved in the hiring process in any way should become familiar with the regulations and time requirements for completing the I-9 and E-Verify processes.
