Office of Fraternity and Sorority Affairs

Please congratulate the women of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. for being selected as Chapter of for October/November.

The Lambda Kappa chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority hosted its annual "Paws for a Cause" in October as one of our national programs in representation for Breast Cancer Awareness. In November, they hosted its annual Founders Week which pertained events such as, "That's my Best Friend" in collaboration with Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. Other events were "Sex Talk and Blow Pops" with Kappa Sigma, "What Not to Wear" with Alpha Kappa Psi Business Fraternity, "Forever a Lady" that was a cultural event with Dr. Jennifer Disney as the guest speaker, "Kickin' it with the Poodles" and their Fall 2015 Neophyte Presentation. In their presentation they welcomed two new Prissy Poodles, Antwanette Scriven and Tanisha Terrell. Their event was full of knowledge regarding sex awareness, knowing what attire to wear to what event, knowing your self worth as a woman and every day self defense.

Not only was the ladies of Lambda Kappa doing work on campus they traveled to Orangeburg, SC for their area conference where their very own Markia Montgomery designated as a member of the Undergraduate Leadership Development Program for the region.

Through all the hard work and support, the ladies of Lambda Kappa would like to say, "Thank you to the Greek Community for all your support this year!"
