Please congratulate the women of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. for being selected as Chapter of the Month for March. 

Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Incorporated was founded on November 12th, 1922 on the campus of Butler University by seven educators. The Lambda Kappa Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Incorporated on the campus of Winthrop University, was charted on September 27th, 1989. 

   The month of November was an busy month for the ladies of Sigma Gamma Rho.Participating in Winthrop Homecoming Step Show and celebrating Foundes Week the following week made for an exciting month of activities. 
     The 2014 Founders Week kicked off with "Church with The Poodles"at Freedom Temple Ministries. Monday, students were able to be submerged into the culture of Africa during the Program, Experience of Africa. Participants were able to hear from a student, who is a native of Africa, as he shared his experiences and culture. Students wereThe month of March was an busy month for the ladies of Sigma Gamma Rho. They hosted their annual Sigma Week, which is held every spring semester, during the week of March 23rd through March 28th. During the week the organization hosted many events including "Looking for Mrs. Right (in collaboration with Delta Zeta), Pie-A-Sigma, Wildn' Out, Mingle With the Poodles, and Luau for Life (in conjunction with Relay for Life). Ending the week, the lovely ladies welcomed 7 new Prissy Poodles to the campus through their Neophyte Presentation. These ladies are Holisha Coleman, Marvonne Marston, Miriah Gibbs, Brianna Johnson, Endya Moten, Somer Barber, and Cynthia Gordon.

Not only were the ladies of Lambda Kappa busy on campus, they traveled to Atlanta, GA to participate in their regional conference, where they were also recognized for being a "Blueprint Chapter" for their region!

Through all the hard work and support, the ladies of Lambda Kappa would like to say, "Thank you to the Greek Community for all your support this year!"
