American Historical Society
- Research grants ($800-$1,500) support advancing the study and exploration of history
in a diverse number of subject areas. Only AHA members are eligible to apply for AHA
research grants
- Fellowships ($5,000) support significant scholarly research in the collections of
the Library of Congress by scholars at an early stage in their careers in history
- Fellowships ($21,250) support proposals of advanced research in history related to
all aspects of aerospace, from the earliest human interest in flight to the present,
are eligible, including cultural and intellectual history, economic history, history
of law and public policy, and history of science, engineering, and management.
- Annual Meeting Grants ($200-$400) support early career historians to attend the annual
meeting

Arthur and Elizabeth Schlesinger Library
on the History of Women
- Grants to use the library's holdings
- Research Support Grants ($3,000) - open to researchers from any college or university
and to independent scholars to support new scholarship on women, gender, and sexuality
- Oral history grants ($3,000) - open to scholars conducting oral history interviews
relevant to the history of women or gender in the United States
- Mellon-Schlesinger Summer Research Grants ($15,000) funds up to three eight-week residencies
each June–July in 2019, 2020, and 2021 for researchers doing advanced work on the
gender and suffrage, voting rights, citizenship, or other related topics
