- Strives to reward and encourage scholarship in social economics.
- William R. Waters Grant ($5,000): promotes research in social economics and the social
economy. Possible topics include, but are not limited to the role of social values
in economic life, economic policy and social wellbeing, social capital, social norms,
social networks, human capabilities, workplace policies and social justice, corporate
social responsibility, socially responsible investment, microfinance, ethics and economics,
poverty, inequality, and policies related to health, education, and welfare.

Calvin K. Kazanjian Economics Foundation
Projects supported by the Foundation should:
- Disseminate economic thinking and knowledge by all available means, to the end that
greater happiness and prosperity may come to all through better economic understanding.
- Produce materials, conduct seminars and workshops that promote discussions and assist
in the development of greater economic literacy.
- Promote the interchange of ideas and experiences among students of economic theory,
those teaching it, and those engaged in solving practical economic problems in business
and government.
- Submit optional 1-page synopsis to receive preliminary feedback
