The MEd in Educational Leadership is offered in a cohort fashion with sequenced specialty studies being offered six to nine hours per semester. A candidate who drops out of the program will have to wait a full year to re-enroll on a space available basis.

To be eligible to graduate, a graduate candidate must satisfactorily complete all
courses, field experience requirements, and a cumulative assessment which demonstrates
that the candidate has successfully demonstrated proficiency in standards recommended
by the specialized professional association for those preparing to become principals.
An Educational Leadership committee must certify that the candidate has passed the
cumulative assessment.
To be recommended for certification, the candidate must receive the required score
(as determined by the South Carolina State Department of Education) on the Educational
Administration Specialty Test of the PRAXIS Examination.
