Ticket Holders with Tickets Issued by Winthrop

Ticket Pick-up

Tickets may be picked up at Winthrop University at 107 Kinard Hall at the following times:

  • Tuesday, Nov. 3 from noon to 3 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Nov. 3 from 5 to 7 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Nov. 4 from noon to 5 p.m.

NOTE:

  • Must be picked up in person with a Winthrop ID
  • No proxy pick ups are permitted
  • Tickets are non-transferable

Ticket Holders with Tickets Issued by SCDP

The South Carolina Democratic Party has provided this schedule for forum ticket holders. Note that this schedule is subject to change by the SCDP.

Ticket Pick-up

Tickets to the forum are non-transferable. Identification is required.

On Friday, Nov. 6, ticket holders may pick up tickets from will call at the Winthrop Coliseum beginning at noon. Identification is required.

For last minute cancellations, e-mail Jessica@scdp.org as soon as possible so that the SCDP can release your seat to a person on the wait list. 

Parking

There is one designated forum parking lot (pdf - 860 kb) located on the north side of the Winthrop Coliseum, 1162 Eden Terrace, Rock Hill, SC 29733. All visitors MUST park in the designated lot at the Coliseum.

Signage will direct ticket holders to the parking lot. Volunteers and traffic officers will assist.

Transportation

Buses will transport ticket holders from the Coliseum to Winthrop's main campus beginning at noon. The last bus will depart from the Coliseum at 6 p.m. Immediately following the forum, buses will transport forum attendees back to the Coliseum.

Building Access

Byrnes Auditorium is the forum venue. The line to enter the forum will form at 4 p.m. and will run along the front of Kinard Hall down Alumni Drive. Doors to Byrnes Auditorium currently are scheduled to open at 5 p.m. All attendees will go through airport-like security and should bring as few personal items as possible.

IMPORTANT: The following will NOT be allowed in the venue:

  • NO sharp objects
  • NO umbrellas
  • NO liquids
  • NO signs

Should attendees need to leave the auditorium before the program begins, you will be required to get back into line and go through security again.

Auditorium doors will close at approximately 6:30 p.m. After that time, no one will be permitted to enter the auditorium. In addition, for security reasons, anyone who leaves the auditorium after doors close will not be allowed to return.

All attendees are expected to remain in their seats for the duration of the forum, as it is a live MSNBC television broadcast. Should attendees choose to leave the auditorium for the restroom, they may be held outside in the lobby until the next commercial break.

Food & Beverage

Two food trucks are tentatively scheduled to be in the vicinity of Byrnes Auditorium. There will be no food options inside the auditorium, and no outside food or drink is permitted. Please plan accordingly.

Additional Details

  • No campaign or political issue signs.
     
  • Attendees will be screened through magnetometers and are therefore encouraged to limit the materials in their possession.
     
  • Please do not bring large bags or backpacks. All bags will be searched.
     
  • No personal defense weapons of any kind will be permitted.
     
  • Cell phones must be muted once in the auditorium.
     
  • The SCDP will make every attempt to have attendees who arrive together be seated together, but that may not always be possible.
     
  • There will be dedicated, but limited, disabled seating. Every attempt will be made to seat disabled attendees near their companions. However, that may not be possible.
     
  • Please refrain from taking pictures during the broadcast.
     
  • Any person found to be disruptive may be escorted from the auditorium immediately.
