My name is Kristin Ramirez, I am from Waxhaw, North Carolina, and I graduated from
Marvin Ridge High School. In high school, I was a member of the International Club
(secretary), National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, and BETA Club (president).
I am currently a double major in biology (pre-physical therapy) and dance performance.
I hope to go to graduate school to earn my doctorate in physical therapy so I can
work as a physical therapist for professional dancers. Not only am I an Eagle STEM
Scholar, but I am also a member of the honors program at Winthrop University, and
am a 2014 McNair Scholar. I accomplished straight A's during my fall 2013 semester,
earning me a spot on the President's List. Eagle STEM is a great program and has opened
many doors for me that distinguish me among my peers.
