Ian D. Deas is a native of Charleston, South Carolina. He graduated from Winthrop
with a B.S. in Biology and served as the Student Trustee, Student Body President,
and brother of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. While at Winthrop, he recognized
his passion for higher education and subsequently pursued a M.S. Ed. in Higher Education
from University of Pennsylvania as a Roberts Family Named Scholar and a Community
Leadersip Award winner. Ian is now the Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Students &
Director of Student Leadership and Engagement at Princeton University. In his free
time, Ian enjoys playing basketball, singing and traveling.
