My name is Adaeze Aninweze. In 2017, I graduated from Winthrop with a B. S. in Chemistry. During my last year at Winthrop, I became the first recipient of the Boren Scholarship to study the Portuguese language in Brazil. The following year, I was awarded the Fulbright grant to serve as an English Teaching Assistant at the Federal University of Piaui in Brazil. I received the grant for two consecutive years. Currently, I am a first year graduate student with the Masters of Engineering program at the University of Applied Sciences in Dresden, Germany where I will obtain a M.Eng in Environmental Engineering. I appreciate the support system I received from the Eagle STEM program. The program played a pivotal role in my professional journey and I am forever grateful to be part of this prestigious program.
