For the summer of 2008 and 2010, Matt worked as an intern/assistant lighting designer
at the Williamstown summer theatre festival. He designed his first New York production

of Obesity in Children: The Role of Dance Education to Lighten the Load" at the Big
South Undergraduate Research Symposium at Winthrop University
April 13-14, 2012 and at the SAEOPP McNair/SSS Scholars Research Conference in Atlanta,
GA, June 21-26, 2012. Megan earned a McNair scholarship to attend Oklahoma State
University, beginning in the fall of 2012. She has elected to pursue a Master of
Science degree in Teaching, Learning and Leadership.

Stephanie Cantrell

Stephanie earned the Tillman Award upon graduation in the spring of 2009. The Tillman
Award goes to a student who earned a 4.0 GPA through her or his entire education at
Winthrop. Since August 2009 she has been teaching at Ballet Spartanburg, Dance Dynamics
in Tryon, NC, Pisgah Dance Academy in Brevard, NC, and performing with Millennium
Charlotte Dance Company. Stephanie completed a master's degree in arts administration
at Queen's University in December 2012.

to the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA) Performing Arts Management
MFA Program. She began her program in Fall 2009. Having completed her graduate degree,
Mary began working as the Administrative & Communications Manager at Youth Opportunities
in Greensboro, NC.

Mary Margaret Gilliam

In August 2007 Mary Margaret began a full-time position on the technical theatre staff
at Duke University. In 2009 Mary Margaret began work as an Assistant Language Teacher
in Yoronjima, Japan. During her time there, she has studied eisa dance forms as well as the taiko and sanshin musical forms. She has also taken on leadership roles in a language-studies professional
organization in Japan.
John Zawislak

For the 2009 summer season at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, John worked as the
Stage Supervisor--coordinating logistics with Scenic Studio Staff, the Technical Director,
Production Manager, and Performers to ensure safety and efficiency of show changes
and performances. Starting in the fall of 2009, John went to work for Moonglow Productions
as swing-tech (carpentry, audio and lighting) for their touring production of Camelot.

Quentin "Q" Talley

"Q" has performed throughout the country at the Nyroucian Poets Society, The Bowery
Poetry Club, Hawaii Slam, and Toronto Slam, to name a few. He placed 12th in 2006
at the Individual World Poetry Slam, 2nd in the nation with team Slam Charlotte at
the National Poetry Slam in 2005, and is a two-time Southern Fried Regional Champion,
in 2005 & 2007. He has also appeared in the open door Borders Poetry series and the
Turner South Network and has shared the stage with Bishop Desmond Tutu, Nikki Giovanni,
Cee-Lo, MC Lyte, Ted Turner, and Tavis Smiley. Q recently finished his 2nd album and
one man show entitled Take Cover. Q founded the theater company, On Q Productions, with a mission to produce classic,
contemporary and original performance works that reflect the minority experience,
especially that of the African American. In its third year, the company has produced
works ranging from For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enough, Dutchman,
Day of Absence, and In the Blood to critical acclaim. Based in Charlotte, NC, this emerging theater company recently
made its mark locally, nationally and internationally with the original production,
Miles & Coltrane: Blue(.) by Concrete Generation. In Summer 2009 the production premiered in New York and Edinburgh,
Scotland at the East to Edinburgh Festival and Fringe Festival to sold out audiences
and is currently gearing up for its fall 2010 tour. On Q Productions is now in its
second season at the NC Blumenthal Performing Arts Center. In 2009, Q was also recognized
by Metrolina Theatre Association's with their Emerging Artist of the Year Award and
was a Roundtable artist for Americans for the Arts National Arts Policy Roundtable
at the Sundance Institute.
Courtney Blake
