Dr. Pierce teaches course in Crisis and Trauma Counseling, Addictions Counseling, and skills-based courses. She is fascinated by neurophysiology and the integration of the body in the counseling process which informs much of teaching and counseling practice. Dr. Pierce is trained at the Masters level in Integral Breath Therapy and is completing Somatic Experiencing Practitioner training. Additionally, she serves on the Board of Directors for the Association for Spiritual, Ethical, and Religious Values in Counseling and is a member of the American Counseling Association, the Association for Assessment and Research in Counseling, the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision, the Association for Spiritual, Ethical, and Religious Values in Counseling, and the Somatic Experiencing Trauma Institute.
