Mrs. Martin began her teaching career at the middle school level in Sumter, SC and has been in the educational field for over 25 years. After completing her master’s degree in Education Administration, she became a lead teacher, assistant principal, and then served 16 years as a middle school principal in Sumter. She moved to Rock Hill in the summer of 2015 and began teaching and supervising at Winthrop University. Courses she has taught include the development of observation and analysis, developmental sciences and the context of poverty, elementary methods, elementary field experience, and supervision of interns. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of South Carolina.
