Area(s):
Exercise Science, my research interests are focused on how exercise during pregnancy impacts the mother and fetus. I am interested in determining the physiological mechanisms that underlie the association between prenatal exercise and fitness on fetal growth. I also have an interested in the application of newer statistical methods (e.g. quantile regression).
I am from Washington State. I am the youngest of 4 siblings. I grew up playing soccer, softball, basketball and track and field (shot put and javelin). I continued my athletics (soccer and track) into my collegiate years. During my undergraduate years I coached track and field at the local high school. In graduate school, I tutored students in biostatistics.
