Professional Development Conference

The annual conference is a vehicle for highlighting best practices as stated by key leaders from corporate America. The event will include: a continental breakfast, panel presenters on various business and employment-related topics, a buffet lunch, and a keynote speaker.

Topics for the 2018 Student Professional Development Conference

The 12th Annual Student Professional Development Conference will be held on Tuesday, March 6, 2018, as part of Professional Opportunities Week. The theme of this year’s conference is "Oh the Places You'll Go:  Success Strategies from Dr. Seuss." The keynote speaker is Dr. Ashley Israel, Winthrop Alumna and Bill and Melinda Gates Scholar Recipient, Clemson University.  Students may choose to register and attend any of the following workshops and activities:

Track II: Webinar (Online Only)

    9:00-9:50  Life Opportunities: You'll be as Famous as Famous Can Be, With Everyone Watching You on TV

10:00-10:50  Life Challenges: When You're Alone There is a Good Chance, Things Will Scare You Out of Your Pants

11:00-11:50  Life Inspirations: Will You Succeed, Yes You Will Indeed

Advance REGISTRATION is required.  There is a $5.00 fee for the luncheon for students.  To attend, please complete the registration form and return it to Dr. Burgess-Wilkerson in Thurmond 429 or Terese Green-Thomas in Thurmond 200.
