Resume 101

Description: This is an event hosted by Beta Alpha Psi to help students prepare for Meet the Firms.  The focus of the event is on resumes, but Beta Alpha Psi students will also demonstrate different outfits and what they would be classified as (business casual, business professional, or doesn't meet either of these categories).  Dr. Richards will present a resume template and resume tips.  A couple of the Beta Alpha Psi officers will show some before and after examples of their resumes.

Meet the Firms

Description: Meet the Firms is a job fair for accounting, finance, and computer information students and recent graduates. This is a time for students to learn about different career paths and internship opportunities with various organizations. Participants include CPA firms, wealth management firms, banks, government agencies, and relevant corporate departments (i.e., internal audit, accounting, tax, and finance). Students are asked to attend dressed in professional or business casual attire, as well as with printed resumes in hand.

EY Lecture: The Power of Data Analytics in Accounting/Auditing/Business

Description: Ernest & Young (EY) professionals will deliver a lecture on the importance of data analytics in business, accounting, and auditing. EY is one of the largest professional services firms in the world and one of the Big Four accounting firms. The firm provides audit, consulting, tax, business risk, and technology and security risk services globally. This will help students learn about the latest trends in technology, software applications, data analysis techniques, as well as career choices and opportunities in this field.
