International Business Culture: Power Dynamics in Cross-Cultural Business Relationships-South Africa

Description: This event will present and highlight some national, ethnic, and communal items and tendencies that are often at the root of the salient and manifest differences in workplace cultures. The prevalent culture and traditions of South Africa will be used to delineate how social constructs and relationships (distribution of power, individualism vs. collectivism, communications, time perspective, and similar cultural traditions) affect ways in which activities, tasks, and collaborative partnerships are carried out, supervised, and managed in the workplace of those countries.
