The minor in Medieval studies (MDST) offers students the opportunity to acquire an understanding of the historical, cultural, and social forces that shaped western civilization during the Middle Ages. Students can choose from a variety of existing courses. We also sponsor campus cultural events, so that students can engage actively with the many facets of medieval culture. This minor will be especially useful for students of those fields that touch on the study of the Middle Ages such as history, English, political science, art history, music, theatre and dance, or world languages.
