Dr. Evans-Anderson is an associate professor in the Department of Biology at Winthrop. She received her Ph.D. in biomedical science from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the Cincinnati Children's Hospital Research Center prior to joining the faculty at Winthrop in January 2008. Evans-Anderson has taught courses in "Anatomy," "Physiology," "Principles of Biology," "The Scientific Process in Biology," as well as "Evolution and Development." In addition, she serves as a research mentor for undergraduate and graduate students. Her research interests focus on heart development and cardiac regeneration.
