Dr. Cagle has worked in HIV/AIDS services as an educator, case manager, and administrator; in child welfare as a foster care worker; and as a therapist working with individuals and families. Cagle teaches in the BSW and MSW programs on campus, and his teaching centers on social work practice with individuals, families, and groups; human behavior in the social environment; and empowerment practice.  Dr. Cagle’s most current scholarship explores ecological values and ethics as related to social work, and the inclusion of animals in social work practice, theory, and teaching.
