Our alumni have found employment not only as professors, principals, and teachers, but as editors, social marketing directors, lawyers, web designers, politicians, podcasters, bankers, technical writers, poets, novelists, video game authors—the possibilities are virtually endless. We're proud that our English majors have repeatedly won the Inez Bell Caskey award for undergraduate research in the humanities, Fulbright grants, and national awards from Sigma Tau Delta, the international English honor society.

The department chair is Dr. Casey A. Cothran and the administrative specialist is Ms. Kara Cauthen. The main office is open 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
