MFA Works in Progress is an exhibition of works and research created by current MFA candidates Morgana Faucett, Grant. Mahan and Bethany Salisbury in the Department of Fine Arts.

Kathryn Vajda discusses photo-based digital prints of structures constructed from ice and snow using disposable single-use plastic packaging. Plastics are extracted from fossil fuels, contribute to climate change, and never decompose. The work is created in a battle against the unsustainable use of resources.

Courses in 2D design, 3D design, drawing, digital studio, and media studies comprise the bedrock of our fine art students' studio training. It is the Foundations Program that prepares students for excellence in craft, observation, critical thinking, innovation, and sensitivity to form, along with expectations for a rigorous work ethic. This exhibit represents outstanding works produced in the foundation-level courses within the Department of Fine Arts and serves to celebrate the efforts of both the students and the instructors.

In this exhibition, art education students display a collection of interdisciplinary/community-based artworks created by K-12 students during their internship experience. This is a legacy art education exhibition that is connected to their capstone exhibition.

The 2022-2023 Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) Thesis Exhibition I-IIII features new work by artists completing their graduate program in the Department of Fine Arts. Mahan’s Sacred Subversions exhibition questions the perspectives of the queer body through the medium of painting.
