Immersion students at Rock Hill High School the opportunity to earn 18 college credit-hours
within the Spanish or French pathway. Your prospective minor in Spanish or French
starts today!
How do I apply for the 2023-24 academic year? Step 1: Meet Eligibility Requirements for Winthrop's Pre-College Program:
If you scored a composite score of 5 or higher on the March STAMP assessment with
no domain less than a 4, complete the online Pre-college Program Application and you
will be registered for SPAN or FREN 250.
If you scored less than a 5 on he STAMP assessment, complete the online Pre-College
Program application and you can become eligible for the program by:
Retake the STAMP assessment May 15th -19th to earn a composite score of 5 or higher
Take the AP Exam on May 10th or May 11th, Must earn a 4 or higher on AP exam.
If you do not earn a 5 or higher on the May STAMP retest or a 4 or high on the AP
Exam, RHHS Counseling Department will contact you to adjust your high school schedule
and your Pre-College Application will automatically withdrawn for 2023-24.
Step 2: Apply to Winthrop's Pre-College Program:
May 13th - May 19th: Complete the online Pre-College Application (Apply Here)
August 19: First Day of School at Winthrop University!

book/planner, and smile
August 23: 5:00 p.m. Drop deadline for fall classes
If you wish to drop your fall course, schedule a meeting with your RHHS school counselor
& you must have approval of Mr. Ahl to drop the class prior to the deadline.
August 22nd: First Day of School at Winthrop University!

October 11th: No School at RHHS - students complete WU assignments at home
October 3: Midterm Grades Due. Check your Wingspan/Blackboard account for your current
grade
October 11th & 14th: Winthrop Fall Break - students stay at RHHS and attend advisory
October 19th: Q1 reports cards for RHHS. Current grade in courses will be on report card
October 23: 2:00 p.m. Course withdrawal deadline. If you wish to withdraw from your fall course, schedule a meeting with your RHHS school
counselor & you must have approval from Mr. Ahl to withdraw from the class prior to
the deadline.
