Flight Plan Series


Get involved in growing the Winthrop network by offering your time and experience to mentor current students.

The Winthrop Alumni Association, Residence Life, Winthrop Athletics, Center for Career and Civic Engagement, and  Student Affairs have collaborated to host a series of workshops that bring together current students, alumni and business leaders to help prepare students for personal and professional success after graduation.

Action Boards: Bring Your Vision to Life Through Action

6 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 15

DiGiorgio Campus Center, Richardson Ballroom

You have claimed your resolutions for the new year. Now, you just have to find a way to stick with them, right? Come learn just how creating an action board can be a powerful tool in attracting what you want in your life. Create a board that allows you to visualize your plan and stay focused and motivated throughout the new year. Whether you are looking to start a business, travel, get all A’s, become healthy or simply be more positive, an action board should be your first step in attracting what you want. 


Student & Alumni Networking Reception

6 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 12

DiGiorgio Campus Center, Richardson Ballroom

Students are invited to join us for one of our signature events, the Student & Alumni Networking Reception. This event provides alumni and students the opportunity to enjoy a networking reception then merge into a sit down speed networking event where students can build connections with alumni and discuss interview and resume tips, post-graduation plans and hear from distinguished alumni about their professional successes. Spring Into Reset: Self-Care & Sunset Yoga

7 p.m., Tuesday, April 7

Set time in your schedule for this harmonious end of semester event. We'll take to our yoga mats for a gentle 45-minute (all-levels) session to promote mind-body rejuvenation and enjoy self-care gems, provided by Jess Hudgens, Counseling Services Outreach Coordinator. The event is  packed with hacks that you can use at home for the perfect opportunity to pause, take deep breaths and unravel stress to set the tone for your day. End the evening under the stars and in blissful savasana.
