Alumni and Friends,

The Executive Board of the Winthrop Alumni Association is accepting applications for at-large members. There are up to four seats available on the Alumni Executive Board for the 2019-2022 term, which begins on July 1. If you are interested in serving your alma mater in this capacity, please submit your application no later than Monday, April 1, to Lori Tuttle, executive director of alumni relations and reunion giving, at tuttlel@winthrop.edu. The Nominating Committee of the Alumni Executive Board will review all applications and select candidates. Please visit the Executive Board webpage for more information.

I know that we have lots of creative alumni! Do you think you've got the skills to design Winthrop's 2019 Homecoming T-shirt? Then put those skills on display! The Alumni Association is hosting a Homecoming T-shirt contest in celebration of Homecoming and Reunion Weekend 2019. To enter your T-shirt design please email alumni@winthrop.edu by March 31 with your contact information and your T-shirt design image. Homecoming and Reunion Weekend 2019 will be held Nov. 15-16. Please see the official contest rules for more information.

Charlotte Alumni Chapter Social
Join the Charlotte Alumni Chapter for a social at Lenny Boy Brewing Co. on Thursday, March 28. Socialize with alumni while enjoying views of the Queen City and a variety of brewed beverages. Be sure to wear your garnet and gold for a chapter picture at 7 p.m. Please RSVP to alumni@winthrop.edu by March 26.

28th Annual Eagle Club Auction
Looking for a reason to come back to campus and support student-athletes? The 28th annual Eagle Club Auction will be held on Saturday, March 30, at 6 p.m. A silent auction and live auction will be held during the event. Can’t make it back to campus? No problem! The silent auction will be available online, and you can bid on items from wherever you are in the world. All proceeds with benefit student-athlete scholarships. Political Science Student Awards & Alumni Reception

Political Science and Model UN alumni are invited to the Winthrop Department of Political Science's (PLSC) annual PLSC Student Awards Ceremony and Reception for PLSC and Model UN alumni on Friday, April 5, at 7 p.m. at the Olde Stone House. The evening will celebrate the vast span of Winthrop PLSC, including Model UN, the Center for Public Opinion and Policy Research, the Winthrop Poll and the John C. West Forum on Politics and Policy. The Spring Awards Ceremony and Pi Sigma Alpha Political Science Honor Society Induction will recognize current student accomplishments and help raise money to endow the Melford Wilson International Relations Fund and continue to support all other PLSC student awards. Tickets are $25. Register online by Friday, March 29.
