You may have noticed that the name of Winthrop’s monthly e-newsletter has changed from the Blue Line to the Winthrop Insider. We aim to provide alumni and friends the latest information about Winthrop and we want to make you feel like an insider on what is happening with Winthrop. We hope you enjoy your monthly insider scoop of Winthrop news!

In other news, we are excited to launch the Charleston Alumni Chapter on Thursday, Oct. 25 at Ms. Rose’s Fine Food & Cocktails! Details are below, we hope to see Charleston alumni there. For a full list of regional alumni chapters, please visit the Alumni Association website.

Charleston Alumni Chapter Launch
Join the Winthrop Alumni Association and Charleston Chapter Leaders as we launch the Charleston Alumni Chapter on Thursday, Oct. 25 at Ms. Rose’s Fine Food & Cocktails from 6-8 p.m. Appetizers and beverages are complimentary of the Alumni Association. Please RSVP to the Alumni Association, and we look forward to seeing Charleston alumni!

Ghost Tours
Come celebrate the dark, chilling history of Winthrop with ghosts and gore galore! Proceed with caution while our tour guides walk you through a spine-chilling journey of twists and turns as we share some of Winthrop's most haunting stories! Are you ready to embark on this spine-chilling journey? If you think you are brave enough, purchase your ticket before Oct. 30. Tours will run Oct. 30 from 6-9 p.m. in Tillman Hall.

Homecoming & Reunion Weekend 2018
Mark your calendar for Homecoming & Reunion Weekend 2018, Friday, Nov. 16–Saturday, Nov. 17. From the uniform-wearing Winthrop daughters to the more recent graduates of today’s multicultural, multi-generational student body, Winthrop alumni share a unique bond. Homecoming & Reunion Weekend is one time each year that everyone comes back to campus to remember and relive those fun-filled and life-changing college days. Class reunions, campus tours, alumni awards, tailgating and basketball – all these activities and more make for an unforgettable gathering. Make plans to join us for the this year's Homecoming & Reunion Weekend, Nov. 16-17, 2018!

83rd Annual Tree Lighting
The Winthrop Alumni Association and Student Alumni Council will host the 83rd annual tree lighting on the Tillman front lawn on Friday, Nov. 30 at 6 p.m. Enjoy hot cocoa, cookies and candy canes as you watch performances by the ChristmasVille RockHettes, Winthrop Collegiate Choir, Chamber Singers and Chorale. President Mahony will lead the countdown to light the tree. Don’t miss this festive Winthrop tradition!
