Senior Citizen Students
Winthrop enjoys a rich tradition of welcoming students from all walks of life to its campus. Whether you’re looking to explore some topics of interest or pursue a degree, we are thrilled to welcome you to Winthrop.
South Carolina residents who are age 60 and over and not employed full-time may attend Winthrop University for credit or non-credit purposes on a "tuition free," space available basis. Senior citizens will need to pay any lab fees associated with courses and are responsible for any books/materials required for their coursework. Senior citizens participating in this program will not be able to register for classes until the start of each semester and only enroll in classes where there are open seats available.
