Admissions Counselor: Ani SuboticHello!  My name is Ana Subotic and I am an admissions counselor at Winthrop University.  I am originally from Athens, Greece, where I lived until I was 12, before moving to Ljubljana, Slovenia to finish my high school career.  After high school, I crossed the ocean and attended Winthrop University where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Integrated Marketing Communication in 2014.

While studying at Winthrop, I kept busy by working as an International Ambassador in the International Center as well as an admissions counselor assistant.  The time I spent in the Admissions Office as a student really made me value the admissions process, and I am eager to make that process as easy as possible for prospective students.

As a Winthrop graduate, I always felt valued by my professors.  Additionally, I always had something to do to occupy my time.  Getting involved is easy because there is something for everybody at Winthrop and the small class sizes really make you feel that you aren't just a number, but an individual person.

Coming from an international background, I understand how demanding choosing the right college can be.  Then you have to move from home and become independent.  That is why I am here to make that process and transition easier.

My advice is to get involved early on in your college career.  Don't know how?  Ask me!  I would be happy to answer any questions you have and provide you with information on getting involved, living on campus, the enrollment process and anything else you are interested in.  I would love to have you visit our campus and see all that Winthrop has to offer.  Don't be too hard on yourself while making this decision and don't hesitate to get in contact with me!
