Winthrop Admissions Community Outreach Coordinator: Tadean PageMy name is Tadean Page and I work as the Public Outreach and Community Coordinator at Winthrop University.  I am originally from Dillion S.C. After graduating high school, I moved three hours away to make Winthrop University my home - the best decision I have made.  I am a 2018 graduate of WU and have earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Individualized Studies with a concentration in Organizational Leadership.

During my time as a student at Winthrop University, I had the opportunity to serve in many capacities.  I was the president of the South Carolina Education Association, a member of the Greek life community, a co-host on the Winthrop radio station, Vice-chair of the Council of Student Leaders and the subsequent Chair to the Council of Student Leaders.  The countless opportunities Winthrop provided me to get involved through student organizations, clubs, and associations helped me shape my college experience!  My student connections during college motivated me to pursue a career in Admissions in order to assist future Eagles navigating the decision-making process!

There is no place like Winthrop University.  Winthrop is the most diverse institution within the state of South Carolina, offers small class sizes which allows for individual attention, has outstanding faculty and staff, and 160+ clubs and organizations.  Winthrop truly understands what it means to provide the holistic student experience.  The Winthrop experience comes second to none - trust me!

My advise to prospective students is to break out of your comfort zone during your college career.  Intentionally set out to have a conversation with someone who looks or thinks differently than you do.  In those moments of connecting with diverse individuals, you will realize just how unique and vast the world and human experience truly is and the opportunities available to you.  GO EAGLES!
