What makes Winthrop Special?
What makes Winthrop special to me is the atmosphere and people. Winthrop is so inviting and those you meet here are kind, loving and friendly. You cannot help but smile and be happy on campus and that is something unique to Winthrop.

 

What do you love about Winthrop?
I love the history of Winthrop University.  Each building, statue and piece of artwork has an exceptional story and I encourage everyone to take the time to learn about the history here.

 

Favorite restaurant in Rock Hill?
My favorite restaurant in Rock Hill is Burgers and Barley.  They have some of the best sweet potato fries and honey mustard I have ever had!

 

Favorite event in Rock Hill? 
My favorite event in Rock Hill is Food Truck Friday. I love the different options of food, drinks and sweets that they offer. There is something for everyone!

 

Why pick Winthrop?
I would pick Winthrop because it is an amazing university with so much to offer students. Winthrop offers a variety of majors, sports, clubs and career opportunities after graduating. It also is a beautiful campus that has a small-town feel, but big school features.

Advice during college search process? 
Find a school that feels like home. You want to go somewhere you feel comfortable, but will also help you reach your future goals. Sometimes one visit to a college or university is not enough. If you can visit multiple times, you should do it. You will learn something new each visit and find the best fit for you.
