What makes Winthrop special to you?

Winthrop is special to me because this is where I grew as a person and learned who I am. I was pushed to become the best version of myself personally and professionally by my peers, professors, and the Winthrop faculty because they saw potential in me, and I am forever grateful for Winthrop giving me such great friends and mentors.

What do you love about Winthrop?

Simple - the diversity! I love how diverse our university is, everyone who sets foot on our campus feels welcomed and can find a place where they can truly be themselves.

What is your favorite event to attend in Rock Hill or local area?

Christmasville!! I love to attend all of the Christmasville events in December – the parade, tree lighting, ice skating, and activities downtown. The town turns into a Christmas dream out of a Hallmark movie!

What advice do you have for students during their search process?

My advice to students would be to be open-minded throughout your process and to visit every college that you are interested in. Experiencing a college in person helps you in your search process tremendously – you get to see what student life on campus is like, visit the dorms, and speak with faculty/staff firsthand. Ideally, visiting colleges helps you to figure out if you could envision yourself at that place for the next few years, and call it home.

Favorite Food?  My favorite food is pasta!! Specifically, your traditional spaghetti and meatballs, but I love all pasta!

Favorite Performer?  Robin Williams

Favorite Hobbies?  I love to workout, hike, explore new places, and take long walks… down the aisles in Target
