In honor of the Liberty Tree Series and in memory of the historic Liberty Tree in Boston Common, Winthrop University planted its own Liberty Tree in December 2009.

In honor of the Liberty Tree Series and in memory of the historic Liberty Tree in Boston Common, Winthrop University planted its own Liberty Tree in December 2009.
The Liberty Tree is marked with a plaque with the text of the First Amendment. The tree is located near the Winthrop Eagle statue at Oakland Avenue.
