Migrating
Quizzes and Content Modules by Using IMS Content Export/Import Feature
This feature will enable you to export quizzes, surveys, question
databases, or content modules from one course to another.
Note: This feature is not currently available with the Assignment
Tool
Update:
Some e-Packs now have the IMS Export Feature enabled, thus making it
possible to transfer content from
e-Packs to other courses.
- Go to
the course which will be the source of the quiz or content
module
- Click
on Control Panel
- Click
on Manage Course
- Click
on Export Content
- Select
whether you wish to export Quizzes, Surveys, and Question
Database or a Content Module
- Select
a destination folder
- Click
Continue
- Go to
Manage Files
- Locate
the newly created zip file, select it, and click Download
- Click
Download again
- Click
Save when asked whether to open or save the file to
your computer
- Select
a destination on your computer to save the file to, and
click Save
- Click
Close
- Open
the course which is to be the destination of the quiz
- Click
on Control Panel
- Click
on Manage Course
- Click
on Import Content
- Enter a
title for your quiz or content module
- Click
Browse to upload the newly created zip file
- Under
Upload File, click Browse
- Locate
the newly created zip file on your computer and click
Open
- Under
Upload File and next to Upload file to, select
a location for your file to be uploaded to and click
Upload
- At the
bottom of the screen, click Add Selected
- Select
where you wish the quiz icon to be displayed and then click
Import
- Click
Done
