Past students
have indicated that the best part of an art education at Winthrop
is the relationship with the faculty. The small number of students in each
course
allows the professors to personally invest in and encourage new artists.
We have a personal interest in your education and recognize your desire to
become
a professional in any of the fine art disciplines.
Our teaching staff is composed of
16 full-time faculty who are practicing professional artists, historians and
educators of art and visual culture, including specialists with a research focus
in visual culture studies. In addition, approximately 23 part-time faculty and technical staff offer a broad range of experience for
students to draw on. It is our intention to foster some of the best artists
to come from Winthrop and show them to the world.
