CRTW 201 Course
Critical Reading, Thinking, and Writing 201
This course will replace
WRIT 102 for students who must meet the new General Education
requirements. The English Department agreed to design a new critical
thinking and writing course as a part of the General Education program;
given the program’s structure, we think the course needs to be taken at
the sophomore level to ensure that students continue the development of
their writing and critical thinking skills in a course specifically designed
to teach those skills. CRTW 201 will build on the knowledge and skills
taught in WRIT 101 and GNED 102 and will serve as a more effective bridge
between freshman-level courses and upper-level, discipline-specific courses.
