Undergraduate Research

Undergraduate Scholars Day

Students who engage in undergraduate research during their college careers and/or presented their scholarship are honored.


The second annual Scholars Day (pdf - 14.87 KB) was held Saturday, April 20, 2013, 9 am-12 pm at Tillman Hall and included the Honors Colloquium from 9-10 am, Honors Poster Session from 10-10:30am, ONCA Ceremony from 10:30-11am, and Undergraduate Research Celebration from 11am-noon. During the Undergraduate Research Celebration we recognized the student scholars and their faculty mentors for their scholarly endeavors. University College also presented the 2013 Book Of Abstracts (students and faculty will receive copies of the book). The guest speaker was Matthew Horn who received his Bachelor of Science degree in biology with a minor in chemistry from Winthrop University in 2012 and is now a student at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine at Chapel Hill.
