Resolution To Honor The
Faculty and Staff
For Meritorious Service To Winthrop University
WHEREAS, The Board of Trustees of
Winthrop University with grateful appreciation, does hereby
acknowledge, commend and honor the distinguished service of
the hundreds of individual faculty and staff members who
contributed so generously to the first Faculty-Staff Campaign;
and
WHEREAS, their outstanding and unselfish
gifts to the future of the University are an extraordinary
testament to the dedication, affection, and esteem in which
they hold this institution; and
WHEREAS, through their donations they
have individually and collectively expressed an exemplary
vision and set an example for those yet to come – truly “A
Lasting Achievement”; and
WHEREAS, through their ongoing
contributions of time and talent, the Faculty and Staff of
Winthrop consistently demonstrate their commitment to ensuring
the University’s progress toward reaching its institutional
goals and fulfilling its educational mission,
THEREFORE LET IT BE RESOLVED that the
Board of Trustees of Winthrop University does hereby
gratefully acknowledge the commitment to excellence that the
Faculty and Staff have demonstrated through their
participation in the University’s first Capital Campaign;
AND, presents today from the Board this
citation as a testament to their devotion to education and
this University.
