RESOLUTION TO APPROVE
COOPERATIVE PLANNING AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of Winthrop University
believes that it is appropriate and necessary for the University
to be an active and constructive participant in planning efforts
conducted its host community; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of Winthrop University heard a
presentation from the Rock Hill Economic Development Corporation
(“RHEDC”) at the Board’s February 2002 Retreat outlining a
proposed cooperative planning approach involving community
groups interested in the city’s “Textile Corridor”
including Winthrop University; and
WHEREAS, the members of the Board of Trustees have examined
the proposed Cooperative Planning Agreement prepared by the
RHEDC and find that its terms and conditions are appropriate and
acceptable;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Trustees of Winthrop
University that the Cooperative Planning Agreement attached
hereto and incorporated by reference is hereby approved; and
THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board of Trustees of
Winthrop University, that the President of Winthrop University
is hereby authorized to execute the Cooperative Planning
Agreement on behalf of Winthrop University.
