RESOLUTION
TO ADD A MASTER OF SCIENCE IN SOFTWARE ENGINEERING
WHEREAS,
area businesses have indicated an interest in and an endorsement
of a program such as the proposed MS in Software Engineering
which involves the areas of project management, quality
management, and software quality and testing; and
WHEREAS,
the proposed MS in Software Engineering will fulfill a need in
the State by being the only one of its kind; and
WHEREAS,
the proposed MS in Software Engineering is a natural extension
of the existing programs at Winthrop University in the areas of
computer science and computer information systems; and
WHEREAS,
the resources to offer the program are already in place at
Winthrop University;
THEREFORE
LET IT BE RESOLVED that the Winthrop University Board of
Trustees does hereby authorize the addition of the Master of
Science degree in Software Engineering to the curriculum of the
College of Business Administration.
