Installed May 2, 2000, this five-piece sculpture by Doug
McAbee ’94, ’03 was one of the first permanent
public art projects on Winthrop's campus. It consists of five
steel chairs that range in height from 8 to 20 feet and
are arranged so that each faces a different direction. The
artist envisioned the chairs as reflecting diverse levels
of learning and growth. |
