Designed to blend with Kinard
Hall's Neo-Georgian style, the university's most recent
permanent work is a seating area designed by graduate
Keith Walters. The physical aspects of the project
reference the historic fencing and building styles at
Winthrop. The primary elements are a curved brick wall
that rises from the earth and returns to grade at the end
of its length, and a clustering of decorative brick
columns that define a loose, but intimate space.
