Purpose of Organization:  To teach Kendo while having fun.
Description of Organization:  This group is for everyone who is interested in taking part of the Winthrop Kendo Club. Kendo is the art of the sword and its basically a Japanese form of "fencing". Kendo is a very aerobic sport and is demanding on the mind. Kendo will give you discipline and help raise your self esteem. Our instructors are Sensei Kenneth Strawn (5th dan) and Paul Kutz (1st dan). Practices are Tuesdays from 6:30 - 8:30 in the SAC. No previous experience required.
