Description of Organization: IDO is an organization that is not limited to but mostly for interior design majors. Our purpose is to be involved, informed, enlightened by current happenings, news and events in the field of design surrounding us. We strive to be ethical in our organization, and always work to help others around us while learning more about the world of art. We focus on three areas in the design world. 1. Education: Having tutorials and workshops about computer programs that are used in the interior design field. 2.Volunteerism/Community Involvement: habitat for humanity, and other areas of interest. 3. Industry: Going on site to view new construction as well having guest speakers such as reps and local designers and architects that inform and educate us about products, techniques, and what it is really like to work in the real world.
We also encourage our members to join a professional interior design organization such as ASID or IIDA. It's a great way to network and find a job!
