Delta Zeta

Purpose of Organization:  The purpose of this sorority shall be to unite its members in the bonds of sincere and lasting friendship, to stimulate one another in the pursuit of knowledge, to promote the moral and social culture of its members, and to develop plans for guidance and unity in action.

Description of Organization:  Delta Zeta (ΔΖ) is an international college sorority founded on October 24, 1902, at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Today, Delta Zeta has 161 collegiate chapters in the United States making Delta Zeta the second largest sorority nationally.

Planned Projects/Events: Delta Zeta hosts many philanthropy events each semester including Big Man on Campus, Camp Out, Hike for Hearing, and Turtle Tug.  All the proceeds of these events go to the Painted Turtle Camp located in California for chronically ill children, as well as Speech and Hearing Impaired, Gallaudet University and Starkey Hearing Foundation. Delta Zeta also plans sisterhood retreats and sisterhood events, mixers, fundraising events, formal, semi-formal, and spirit nights throughout the semester.  They participate in a variety of service projects on a monthly basis, including Adopt-a-Highway."
