Purpose of Organization:  It is our first and foremost commitment to provide public and community service to Rock Hill as well as to the Winthrop University community.  We are a group of collegiate, intelligent women who truly serve our communities.  The standards of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority are a vital concern for social welfare, academic excellence, cultural enrichment and de-emphasizing the social side of sorority life.
Description of Organization:  Delta Sigma Theta was founded on January 13, 1913, by 22 extraordinary women committed to sisterhood, scholarship and service, on Howard University's campus in Washington, DC. Since then, Delta has more than 250,000 members all around the world, making Delta one of the largest women's organizations in the world. The Xi Beta Chapter was founded on April 15, 1978 on the campus of Winthrop University.
Planned Projects/Events:  Adopt-A-Hwy, Defend Yourself, Annual Free Etiquette Dinner, Freshmen Tea, and Jabberwock Scholarship Pageant
